I've used Rea and fake Tial Q. The fake one had a nicer sound, although I didn't verify what springs were in there. The fake one was closed during idle, the real one was open during idle. I'm sure if the springs were setup the same they'd sound about the same

Would a bad headlight switch effect the lights on the interior. Such as the dash, a/c lights, and shift lights (automatics).

FWIW - Autozone has this as Duralast part #SU4098. It’s clearly not up to OEM quality, but I tried it and it does work. $70 as of this posting, in case it helps anyone out…

Around 7 yeaes back I've installed fake hks on my evo as i couldn't afford a genuine.btw it still ran fine while all the genuine guys had errors 😂. recently did the titanium piping and tial i don't really think bov is that primary as i run 3071gen 2.

Just a heads up for people getting bigger pumps you need a dedicated relay with direct battery current. And if possible install bulk head studs at the top of the tank to run thicker gauge wire.

The issue that has me concerned with going to coilovers is that the entire rear weight of the car (which is about 50% of the total weight) now rests on the forks of the rear control arms, which were never intended to support that weight. It is normally distributed between the rear springs (which fit into a mold on the flat of the arm) and shocks, of which the majority is on those molds, not the shock forks. Then you have to add the accelerated forces of road bumps and other movements which with a lowered car are greater than stock. And then there is the issue of the inner tops of the shock towers; were they ever intended to withstand that weight as well? Even if you hit the shock bump stop, part of the car's weight is still shared by the springs.

Do u by any chance know the wiring colors ? I have a 86 bought as a project the tps connector was cut off I think so to rusty wires. So I bought a pigtail but can’t find any diagrams for the color of the wires n their location .

Good explanations and video. A couple of points: 1) Could you have removed screws on the rear dust shields (4:17) and then simply rotated them so that the brake caliper spacing lines up with the wheel bolts? ... of course you have to completely remove the caliper and its mounting bracket. And 2) I noticed that you added mud guards fore and aft. I think they are a must when increasing the tracking of the car as kicking up debris onto the car's side can easily happen on these Zs. Agree?

Just did this today, My cas died on the road ... had to do ecu codes 87 turbo . luckily only code 11 was shown ... oreillyauto had a cas "importDirect" brand , thankfully it works ... It appeared to be the original part so 36 year old cas went to the ghost ... there was no warning of failure so that still has me spooked , checking wiring and such . but it seems to have been just old. thanks for the video

Did you touch-up the raw metal edges with any kind of paint or sealer? I forsee rust growth if not..
